The theme of the Paradiso public lecture series is 'Heroes of Science'. Eight prominent scientists - todays heroes - will give a lecture on their hero from the past.

 Erik Verlinde is professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Amsterdam and Spinoza laureate (2011).
