Kristian Holsheimer’s PhD thesis specifically focuses on one theory from string theory: holographic duality. The systems for which holographic duality exists are relativistic, which means that the particles move at rapid speeds. Non-relativistic systems, however, also exist. Holsheimer explores a version of holography for these non-relativistic systems.
