Macro-level research is important for understanding and responding to big-picture forces (climate, geopolitics, institutions, global markets) and the impact these factors have.

As a founding Associate Editor, Scalera will help shape the journal’s intellectual agenda and review standards at a time when the need for high-quality, timely macro scholarship has never been greater. Together with her fellow Associate Editors and the Strategic Advisory Board, she will support AMOE’s mission to:

  • Provide open-access scholarship to a global audience
  • Champion innovative macro ideas and perspectives
  • Build stronger bridges between macro scholarship and organizations around the world
  • Publish empirical, conceptual, review, and perspective articles

About AMOE

AMOE welcomes rigorous empirical research, conceptual papers, interdisciplinary dialogues, and thoughtful provocations on macro-related topics. The journal’s inaugural Editor-in-Chief emphasises that today’s big-picture forces are fundamentally reshaping business, from the climate crisis and geopolitical fragmentation to evolving institutional rules. Addressing macro-level, global-scale challenges cannot depend on data that takes years to become publicly available. AMOE is committed to publishing rigorous research that circulates more quickly, reaches more broadly, and confronts global realities directly.
