We are pleased to welcome VodafoneZiggo as a new partner in the SpaceTeen consortium. VodafoneZiggo shares SpaceTeen's conviction that young people should be able to flourish in a digital society. It also shares the view that this takes a joint effort from young people, civil society organisations, researchers, designers, policymakers and businesses.
Like the other consortium members, VodafoneZiggo considers it important to contribute to young people's digital wellbeing. We share the view that social media and technology call not only for attention to potential risks, but above all for collaboration on concrete, positive alternatives. VodafoneZiggo builds on its earlier digital wellbeing campaigns and brings its own experiences and perspectives. This partnership creates room to explore new questions and to add a new piece to the puzzle at the heart of SpaceTeen: how can we make sure young people flourish in a digital society?
Together, we are working towards social media that is not only less harmful, but also safer, more social, more creative and more meaningful for young people. We are also exploring how to create places and moments where social media fades into the background.
Next week, several consortium members will come together at ScrollCon on the 11th of November 2026 to share our first insights. We will also launch the ScrollReport there, which presents SpaceTeen's vision, approach and first insights. In breakout sessions, we will work on other key themes and explore which step we can take as early as tomorrow towards better social media.
The SpaceTeen consortium now consists of the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR/UvA), Erasmus University Rotterdam, Kinderpostzegels, KPN, NEMO, VodafoneZiggo, YoungMedia, the City of Amsterdam, KidsRights, ScrollScrollScroll, Muzus and TodayTomorrow.
