The UvA/AUAS Library has published its 2024–2025 Annual Report Op weg naar een nieuwe Bibliotheek (On the way to a new Library). The report shows how the Library has further sharpened its role as a guide in an increasingly complex knowledge landscape: with a new University Library in the University Quarter, future-proof learning environments at the AUAS (HvA), an adapted organisational structure and a strengthened role in knowledge sharing and community building.

“The driving force behind teaching and research is interaction – and the Library is an important stage for that interaction. (...) With the steps taken over the past years, we are now better positioned to support teaching and research and to make knowledge open and accessible.” Carlos Reijnen, director UvA/AUAS Library

In line with the policy plan In Dialogue, 2024–2025 saw a strong focus on strengthening relationships with teaching and research. Open science is increasingly becoming the guiding principle in our support for education and research. The Library works closely with policy departments at the UvA and AUAS and in national partnerships to promote the open and responsible use of information and data.

The UvA/HvA Library also includes the Allard Pierson (museum and heritage collections of the UvA), the UvA Data Science Centre and FLOOR, the cultural platform of the AUAS. The Allard Pierson and the UvA Data Science Centre also publish their own reports on their activities.
