The students of the Master's of Health Law programme started the academic year with the course Introduction to Health Law that addresses the key principles of health law. Students also started the courses Regulation of the Dutch Healthcare System, which focuses on the regulation of healthcare entitlements and their funding within the Dutch healthcare system, and Patients' Rights: Theory and Practice, in which students gain insight into the factors and aspects that influence how the law functions in practice.

The first period of the Minor programme Health Technologies, Law and Bioethics in the UvA Bachelors of Law centres on the course International Biomedicine Law and Ethics. In this course, students become acquainted with ethical and legal principles within the biomedical sector, including autonomy, privacy, and justice, as well as current issues in the fields of artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and genetics.
