MISTI Global Seed Fund for physicist Waalewijn and colleagues

UvA physicist Dr Wouter Waalewijn, together with his colleagues Prof. Iain Stewart (MIT) and Dr Frank Tackmann (DESY), received a grant from the MISTI Global Seed Fund. The grant is aimed at promoting and supporting the collaboration between their groups.

The collaboration between the three physicists focusses on Precision Jet Physics for Higgs Boson Production.

Wouter Waalewijn is assistant professor at the Institute of Physics and Marie Curie Fellow at the National Institute for Subatomic Physics, Nikhef. He could be attracted to the University of Amsterdam using the NWO Gravitation award that was granted to the Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics in 2012.
